OPEN HEAVENS
Jehovah will open unto thee his good treasure the heavens, to give the rain of thy land in its season……. if you listen to the commandments of the LORD your God, which I charge you today (Deuteronomy 28:12, 13)
And whosoever remains in any place where he sojourns, let the men of his place help him with silver, and with gold, and with goods, and with animals, besides the freewill offering for the house of God that is in Jerusalem (Ezra 1:4)
The scripture from Ezra was a proclamation from Cyrus, king of Persia when the Lord stirred him to open the door for the children of God to go back to Jerusalem to restore the city and its temple. By this proclamation, he commanded that the children of God receive assistance from their neighbors or fellow residents (throughout his kingdom) in the form of silver, gold, equipment, and pack animals. In other words, there was a mandate to their fellow residents to bless them with gold and silver. A similar command has been decreed about you by the God of Heaven and earth whom you serve! This is the same God who had made the Egyptians favorably disposed towards the people of Israel, so that the Egyptians gave the Israelites what they asked for, which were articles of silver and articles of gold, and clothing. (Exodus 12:35-36).
Though these events are several hundreds of years apart and occurred in different places, they are similar because they were enacted by the UNCHANGING GOD who is not affected by time, place or person. God does not just open doors and leave it at that. He opens the doors as well as the much needed good treasures to help you fulfilled the dreams He has shown you. He can use anybody (friends, enemies, neighbors or supervisors), and any moment to fulfil his promise at any place (Egypt or Persia or America).
In both cases above, it was a season of restoration when God moved his people to the promised land. This is a dispensation where God is restoring to His people (the body of Christ), their covenant birthrights of unprecedented prosperity, growth and vitality. He caused Cyrus to give to Sheshbazzar, the prince of Judah 5400 articles of gold and silver as part of the restoration of the temple.
Beloved, the word of the LORD which I charge you with today, is flawless (absolutely reliable). They are like silver refined in an earthen furnace, purified seven times over. Hold on dearly unto it and allow the UNCHANGING GOD to do it again in your life.
