“So it was, when they came, that he looked at Eliab and said, “Surely the LORD’s anointed is before Him!” But the LORD said to Samuel, “Do not look at his appearance or at his physical stature, because I have refused him. For the LORD does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart”.
I Samuel 16:6-7, 11 NKJV
Today, we pray for America and we commit the nation into God’s hands. We set aside our own opinions about who is fit to be president of this nation. We ask the Lord to bring into power the candidate that will come and execute the will of God. We ask God to give us leaders who bring prosperity and growth to this nation.
Samuel looked at Eliab and thought he would be good as a king, but God rejected him and anointed David rather as king.
David fought and brought Israel freedom from their oppressors.
During this elections, we ask that the Lord’s hand will move to put wise people in positions of power, and to demote and unseat selfish people who will cause harm to the nation.
We pray for the prosperity of America, we pray for God’s protection, and we ask our Lord to bring us comfort. In the name of Jesus
