Today, we ask the Lord to help us control our tongue. We commit not to sin by what we say and by the conversations we engage in. Holy Spirit, help us not to stumble in our words, so that we can be perfect. We receive strength to stay away from gossip, slander and all forms of tale-bearing. We ask for wisdom in knowing what information about ourselves to release to other people, and which information we should refrain from making public . Give us the self-control we need to get out of conversations that wastes our time and has the potential to lead to sin.
Our words will be seasoned with your word, we will not use our words to destroy or negate what is good. In the name of Jesus
