A planting of the Lord

..a planting of the Lord for the display of his splendor (Isaiah 61:3)
The Lord will lead and plant you in the right place this year. No human or unforeseen force can remove you when you are planted by the Lord. (Proverbs 10:30)

He is an ever faithful and present to guard what He has started as he demonstrated in David’s life. After inflicting heavy losses on the Philistines and saving the people of Keilah, David learned from the Lord that the same citizens of Keilah will surrender him to Saul who was seeking to kill him. David then escaped from Keliah (a town with gates and bars) into the strongholds of Horesh. Day after day Saul searched for him, BUT GOD DID NOT GIVE DAVID INTO HIS HANDS. (I Sam 23:14). Our Lord is a compassionate and caring God as stated in Isaiah 63:9

“In ALL their distress HE TOO was distressed, and the angel of his presence saved them. In his love and mercy he redeemed them; he lifted them up and carried them all the days of old”. This is why you must always seek and trust the Lord instead of men. Any force that seeks to uproot us will end up confessing what Saul said to David. “… Surely I have acted like a fool and have been terribly wrong.”(I Samuel 26:21).

As a husbandman, the Lord nourishes His planting (you) with His free and profuse favor needed for the display of His splendor in you. He will cause strangers and foreigners to work for your promotion (Isaiah 61:5). He caused Abiathar to bring ephod which David needed to inquire of the Lord in Keilah. More amazingly He sent Saul’s son Jonathan to David at Horesh and helped him find strength in God. (I Samuel 23:16). David finally went to Gath which was the hometown of Goliath whom he killed. Instead of being killed, David found favor with Achish, king of Gath who gave him Ziklag. David had both Judah and Ziklag (which became an inheritance for the kings of Judah) when he returned to Judah as king. We serve a God of the double portion! Launch into the deep with this confidence.

Instead of your shame, you will receive a double portion; and instead of disgrace, you will rejoice in your inheritance. And so you will inherit a double portion in your land, and everlasting joy will be yours. (Isaiah 61:7)

Breaking News: Since ancient times no one has heard, no ear has perceived, no eye has seen any God besides our God, who acts on behalf of those who wait for him. (Isaiah 64:4)

Amen and Amen!
