An unceasing flow of provisions

“The wife of a man from the company of the prophets cried out to Elisha, “Your servant my husband is dead, and you know that he revered the Lord. But now his creditor is coming to take my two boys as his slaves.” Elisha replied to her, “How can I help you? Tell me, what do you have in your house?” “Your servant has nothing there at all,” she said, “except a small jar of olive oil.” Elisha said, “Go around and ask all your neighbors for empty jars. Don’t ask for just a few. Then go inside and shut the door behind you and your sons. Pour oil into all the jars, and as each is filled, put it to one side.” She left him and shut the door behind her and her sons. They brought the jars to her and she kept pouring. When all the jars were full, she said to her son, “Bring me another one.” But he replied, “There is not a jar left.” Then the oil stopped flowing. She went and told the man of God, and he said, “Go, sell the oil and pay your debts. You and your sons can live on what is left.””
‭‭2 Kings‬ ‭4:1-7‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Today, we ask the Lord to bless what we have in our hands so that it would meet all our needs. As children of God, we pray that we will not be put in situations where bills are not paid or basic needs are not met. Embarrassment from poverty is not our portion. We ask our Father to let there be an unceasing flow of provision in our lives, in the name of Jesus. We declare that our bills will not be carried to the collectors in the name of Jesus. Father, whatever job we have in our hands, even if it is a “small jar of oil”, cause it to overflow to meet every need and to pay off every debt.

““This will be the sign for you, Hezekiah: “This year you will eat what grows by itself, and the second year what springs from that. But in the third year sow and reap, plant vineyards and eat their fruit.” Isaiah‬ ‭37:30‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Lord we ask for relief and consolation for every difficulty we have been through. When Hezekiah cried out to you, you delivered him from the enemy and also blessed him in addition. Today, we ask that for all the challenges we have faced, let us also eat that which grows by itself. Some of us have been through a difficult marriage, difficult financial situation, abuse at home, hostility at work, and sickness. Others have been deprived of a particular need for so long.  As you deliver us from all these things, grant also, that we will be recompensed for our trouble. Bless us so that we will also receive things we did not work for, and what springs out of it. Let scholarships and grants come our way. Let promotion and new jobs we didn’t ask for appear in our path. Let fee waivers and debt cancellation come to us. Let discounts and rebates be applied to our bills. Pour wealth into our lives, and grant that your people will be consoled. Let there be a retribution for every pain, in Jesus name. Fill our mouths with laughter and let the people of God rejoice because of what our God has done for us. Amen
