Today, we pray for our nation, our state, and our cities and townships. God has placed power in our hands to pray for things to happen in this nation. Just as Elijah’s prayers were honored by God in Israel, our prayers will be heard by God today.
Lord we pray for our political leaders to have the wisdom and guidance to serve, to make good decisions, and to build the nation up. We pray that judges will be filled with the spirit of wisdom and righteousness in Jesus’ name. We pray for the teachers in the nation, that God will grant them peace and soundness of mind, to be able to instruct our children in the best manner. Lord, grant them wisdom and skill to be able to impart excellence to the children of this nation. We pray that the Lord will give the Police a sound mind and spirit to be able to perform their duties in a safe manner. We pray that the angels of God will chase the gangs away from our cities and townships. We pray the protection of God over this nation. Let every terrorist attack be exposed and averted in Jesus name. We rebuke the spirit of addiction and drunken stupor, in Jesus’ name. We rebuke the spirit of stress, depression and mental disturbance, in the name of Jesus.
Father, bless Pastors and ministers with power and unction. Let the word of God be preached with boldness and with signs and wonders, that the scales and blindfold of the eyes of the lost will be removed, in the name of Jesus.
Let the words of naysayers be brought to naught concerning this nation. We reject and renounce any words spoken against this nation out of bitterness and the disappointment of lost elections.
Father, we pray that “heavens will give its rain” and the “earth will yield its fruit” in our nation. Let there be abundance of prosperity, let there be good health and joy. Let there be peace and prosperity in this nation until the sun and the moon are no more.
Like Elijah, we lift our hands towards heaven and declare, that let righteousness reign in this land, in the name of Jesus. Amen
