Listen to instruction

“and Jesus and his disciples had also been invited to the wedding. When the wine was gone, Jesusʼ mother said to him, “They have no more wine.” “Woman, why do you involve me?” Jesus replied. “My hour has not yet come.” His mother said to the servants, “Do whatever he tells you.” Nearby stood six stone water jars, the kind used by the Jews for ceremonial washing, each holding from twenty to thirty gallons. Jesus said to the servants, “Fill the jars with water”; so they filled them to the brim. Then he told them, “Now draw some out and take it to the master of the banquet.” They did so, and the master of the banquet tasted the water that had been turned into wine. He did not realize where it had come from, though the servants who had drawn the water knew. Then he called the bridegroom aside and said, “Everyone brings out the choice wine first and then the cheaper wine after the guests have had too much to drink; but you have saved the best till now.”” John‬ ‭2:2-10‬ ‭
When the people at the wedding encountered a problem, Mary’s instruction was, “do whatever He tells you”. It is important to rely on the written word of God at all times and especially when we face challenging situations. When we trust and apply the word of God to our circumstances, our faith builds up and the word begins to manifest in our lives. Obedience to the word of God would save us from many troubles and long prayers.
First, we need to know that word in order to apply it to our situation. Reading God’s word is a basic need for a successful Christian life.
Father we pray that we would be attentive to your word. We commit to obey your word always and in every situation. In the name of Jesus.
The power in the word is able to bring us accelerated outcomes. When the people obeyed Jesus’ word, water was turned into wine, and not just any wine, but wine that tasted as if it had been aged.
When we depend on the word of God, we will achieve results that would otherwise take many years to achieve.
May God’s blessings rest on you to accelerate you. In the name of Jesus.
