“You know how my father David could not build a house for the name of the LORD his God because of the wars which were fought against him on every side, until the LORD put his foes under the soles of his feet. But now the LORD my God has given me rest on every side; there is neither adversary nor evil occurrence. And behold, I propose to build a house for the name of the LORD my God, as the LORD spoke to my father David, saying, “Your son, whom I will set on your throne in your place, he shall build the house for My name.””

We thank our God today for His faithfulness to us. We pray that God will cause our plans and visions for life to come to pass. David had good ideas, but he was frustrated by the many adversaries and wars he had to fight. We pray that God will grant us peace on every front, so that we will use our energies to fight towards achieving our dreams and goals in life. We pray that God will put every challenge under our feet, that every distraction will be removed from our path. Father, help us stay away from anything that sucks our energy, that wastes our time and money, any thing takes us away from progress and productivity.
Holy Spirit guide us so that we will know what to give our attention to, what to put our effort in, and what to spend our time on. Content with anything the seeks to engage us in battle, free our hands from problems that lead to waste. Father, we pray that there would be no adversary or misfortune in our lives, that all our energies will be channeled towards achieving greater heights in life. Give us rest on all sides, and give us the peace of mind to pursue our dreams. We pray this on ourselves, on the lives of our children and on our entire household and family, in the name of Jesus.
