The Righteous are as bold as a lion.

The Lord is my light and my salvation, whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life, of whom shall I be afraid? (Psalm 27:1).

When the Philistines heard that David had been anointed king over Israel, they went up in full force to search for him, but David HEARD ABOUT IT AND WENT DOWN TO THE STRONGHOLD. What do you do when you hear of unpleasant news or trouble? Do we complain about it or tell as many people as possible through social media? We must first take it to Lord (our stronghold) for direction and intervention. Like David, because you are in the stronghold (Lord), deliverance and safety are guaranteed.

“When the wicked advance against me to devour me, it is my enemies and my foes who will stumble and fall. Though an army besiege me, my heart will not fear. Though war break out against me, even then I will be confident” (Psalms 27:2 -3)

We can be confident even in the midst of today’s challenges as David said because with God, problems are setup for promotion.

“For in the day of trouble he will keep me safe in his dwelling; …..and set me high upon a rock. Then my head will be exalted above the enemies who surround me…” (Psalms 27:5 -6)

David went on to defeat the Philistines twice in the Valley of Rephaim. If the omniscient (all-knowing or all-seeing), omnipotent (all powerful) and omnipresent (present everywhere) God is your stronghold you must be as bold as a lion. Just continue to abide in your stronghold.
He who called forth light out of darkness in the beginning (Genesis 1), will bring light and victory to every dark area of our lives.

….the Lord will be your everlasting light, and your days of sorrow will end (Isaiah 6:20)

Be confident of this: You will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.

Amen and Amen
