“I sought the LORD, and He heard me, And delivered me from all my fears. They looked to Him and were radiant, And their faces were not ashamed. This poor man cried out, and the LORD heard him, And saved him out of all his troubles. The angel of the LORD encamps all around those who fear Him, And delivers them. Oh, taste and see that the LORD is good; Blessed is the man who trusts in Him!”

Today, we take hold of God’s promise to help us and deliver us from our fears and troubles.
David wrote this Psalm when Saul had chased him until David fell in the hands of Abemelec in the enemy camp. We ask the Lord to deliver us from any “Saul” (authority figure) that seeks to oppress us or take advantage of us. Abemelecs from the past had taken advantage of Davids ancestors Abraham and Isaac. We ask that the Lord will put them under our feet any problem that has persisted in our families from generation to generation. God will never hand us over to the “Abemelecs” and “Sauls” of this life. God will protect us from people who turn against us in time of trouble. He will always cause us to radiate His glory. Our faces will never be covered with shame.
We thank God who has delivered us and will continue to deliver us from every trouble and pain. We thank Him for the angelic protection around us, in the name of Jesus. Amen
