What the king asks is too difficult. No one can reveal it to the king except the gods, and they do not live among humans.” Daniel 2:11
This was the response of the magicians, enchanters and the wise men of Babylon after King Nebuchadnezzar threatened them with death if they were unable to tell and interpret his dream. They honestly acknowledged the fact that the problem was beyond human ability, and requires the intervention of the supernatural, which did not dwell among them. However, Daniel who was one of the wise men facing the same threat, reacted differently to the situation, because “the spirit of the holy gods is in him!” Daniel 4:8. Daniel told the king what the king had dreamed and also interpreted it, thereby saving many lives. The king later told Daniel (when he needed another dream to be interpreted), “I know that the spirit of the holy gods is in you, and no mystery is too difficult for you” Daniel 4:9
You may be facing a situation which is beyond any human ability or strength, but unlike the magicians, the Spirit of the Holy God, and His son Jesus (in whom abides all the fullness of the Deity), dwells in you. In John 14:23, Jesus declared that He and the Father will “make our home within anyone who loves and obey him”. Like Daniel, the Holy Ghost dwells in you. You’re the receptacle of the most powerful supernatural force in the universe, and no mystery or challenge is too difficult for you. You have power to rise above every challenge, loosen any bond, and subdue and dismantle every foe.
Let’s not join the chorus of the unbelieving world and give in to the enemy’s propaganda of fear and hopelessness. Within you lies the answers and solutions to the problems of your household, community and nation. For Christ in you, is the hope of glory (Colossians 1:27). Even as every word Daniel predicted concerning the king’s dream came to pass, every promise of God concerning our lives will come to pass.
Thank you Father, Jesus Christ our Lord, and Holy Ghost for making your home within us. With God we will do valiantly. Amen!
