HIS REST

Now we who have believed enter that rest… (Hebrews 4:3)
God again set a certain day, calling it “Today.” … (Hebrews 4:7; NIV)

We thank our heavenly Father for our adoption as His children which came through the finished work of Christ on the cross. As children, we have been called to enter into His REST.
“Therefore, since the promise of entering his rest still stands, let us be careful that none of you be found to have fallen short of it” (Hebrews 4:1).
His REST is the place where we completely entrust our lives and its cares to Him and allow Him to captain the ship of our lives. God has “got your back” so do not need to be anxious about anything! God is in charge and you must rest assured in Him. “for anyone who enters God’s rest also rests from their works, just as God did from his” (Hebrews 4: 10).
This is a vital spiritual principle which the children of Israel failed to grasp. They were called out of Egypt into the rest of God. Instead of entering His rest, they continued in their works and therefore missed the Promised Land. “Let us, therefore, make every effort to enter that rest, so that no one will perish by following their example of disobedience (Hebrews 4: 11)
As God’s beloved, there is a special day that every Christian must enter His rest (you can’t afford to miss it). It is called TODAY! “So God set another time for entering his rest, and that time is today”. (NLT).
Today, stay in His rest about your weakness because we have a great high priest on the right hand of the Father, Jesus the Son of God who is able to empathize with our weaknesses and grant us grace to overcome them.
Today, stay in His rest about any human plans or plans of the enemy about you, because “Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him… (Hebrews 4: 13). No weapon formed against you will prosper!
Today, stay in His rest about His promise because nothing can stop His word from coming to pass in your life. “For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart” (Hebrews 4: 12).
You can thank God for even closed doors (when you are in His rest), because He has BIGGER AND BETTER doors for you.

Stay in His rest so that you can see His works. Thank you Father for TODAY.
